The Workers’ Compensation Agency has approved a board request to issue a $2.5 million dollar refund to eligible members.  This brings the total surplus disposition issued to members for the 2012-13 coverage year as either a premium discount and/or a refund to $4.0 million dollars.  Checks will be sent out at the end of February

Checks and invoices were issued the week of November 5.  Only nine members were issued invoices.  Please let us know if you did not receive either a check or a invoice, or, if you have questions on the payroll audit results for your road commission.

Notices that the invoices are ready for retrieval were sent out by email on November 6, 2012.  Please let us know if you have not received it.  

The membership at the Annual Membership Meeting on September 5 voted to fill the UP position with Mike Larrabee from Delta; the Southern Association position with Dale Linton from Montcalm; the at-large position with Ken Hulka from Muskegon, and, Mary Herman from Marquette to fill the remaining year of Fred Chapman’s 3 year term.  

Doris Baakko has joined the CRASIF staff as our new Accountant / Administrative Assistant. Doris hails from Hancock Michigan where she was the Office Manager for Superior Auto Parts Inc. for the last 16 years.  Welcome Doris!

Our sincere sympathies to his wife Neonila and the rest of the Chapman family.  Fred joined the board in 2010 and was a great source of ideas and practical wisdom.  He was devoted to the betterment of CRASIF and all road commissions. He will be missed. Read more in Fred’s obituary.
